Our team is managed by William Fernandez Chambers, General Manager and David Dass, Culinary Manager.

William Fernandez Chambers

General Manager

Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, William Fernandez Chambers brings over 20 years of restaurant industry experience to his role as General Manager of Coastal Del Mar. His passion for hospitality began in his family’s businesses—from his grandmother’s liquor store to his mother’s cafeteria, catering company, and hotel and restaurant on Vieques Island, which his family still owns today.

At just 21 years old, William set out to travel and expand his experience, working in various bars and restaurants and eventually rising to the role of General Manager. Along the way, he discovered his true passion: mentoring team members and helping others grow and succeed.

William joined FMK Hospitality Group seven months ago as a Restaurant Manager and has also worked at Chop House and Bella Vita before taking the helm at Coastal Del Mar. His favorite part of being a GM in The Villages is connecting with guests—he genuinely enjoys listening to their stories and building relationships within the community.

Outside of work, William has a deep love for food, boats, and fishing. Most importantly, he treasures spending time with his lovely wife and “the light of his eyes,” his daughter Leilani.

David Dass

Culinary Manager

David Dass, hailing from the vibrant borough of Brooklyn, NY, has been an integral part of the FMK Hospitality Group for over 6 years. With a culinary journey spanning 7 years in the restaurant industry, David has showcased his dedication and passion in various FMK establishments including Bonifay, Harvest, Coastal Del Mar, Orange Blossom Hills and Tap House Social.

 

Starting as a dishwasher, David quickly climbed the ranks, showcasing his culinary prowess and commitment to his craft. Currently holding the position of Culinary Manager, at Coastal Del Mar, David is responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of top-notch dining experiences to FMK patrons.

 

When it comes to his personal favorites, David has a penchant for the exquisite, with beef tenderloins topping his list. On the other hand, he has a keen understanding of the guests' preferences, noting that the Fish & Chips consistently holds the title of the crowd's favorite.
